DO NOT PROFIT FROM ANIMAL CRUELTY

DO NOT PROFIT FROM ANIMAL CRUELTY

Anemon Hotels “has the most widespread hotel chain with domestic capital”, but they do not have even a minimum quality standard for animal welfare. Thousands of Anemon’s customers do not deserve eggs from industrial cages full of torture.

Barut Hotels claims to “respect the environment and the world in order to be respected in the world”. Barut must respect the right of animals to live without being tortured. They must abandon the filthy eggs from the torturous industrial cages.

Crystal Hotels claims that “they do their best for sustainability by adapting a vision to emphasize the importance of nature and the environment, by setting an example.” Crystal must leave the industrial cages that prevent the animals from meeting their most natural needs.

Kaya Hotels & Resorts states that they “work for spreading the sustainability philosophy within the enterprise”. But cruel cages in which thousands of animals are crammed in a tiny space are not sustainable.

13 of the largest hotel chains in Turkey announced that they will not serve their customers eggs from torture-filled cages. We invite all hotels, especially Anemon, Barut, Crystal and Kaya, to stand against cruelty as soon as possible.

NO AMOUNT OF PROFIT MAKES THIS OKAY

Chickens in cages…

Cannot open their wings

In industrial cages, an animal has only a space as broad as a file paper. Chickens cannot even spread their wings in this crammed and crowded space.

Cannot breathe clean air

Toxic gasses accumulate in the air from the crowd in the cage facilities. The toxic air burns the eyes and lungs of animals.

Cannot touch soil

Animals have to step on iron wires instead of soil, and eat through iron bars for life. They rub against the wires because there is no soil to dig and clean.

Lose their health

Not being able to move, not getting fresh air and rubbing against the wires cause serious feather loss and injuries in animals. Animals attack each other out of stress. Disease spread rate is high in the crowd.
